In 1854, the development of Boolean Algebra was published by English logician George S. Boole. Boole's system reduced logical arguments to permutations of three basic algebraic operators: 'and,' 'or,' and 'not.' Because of the development of Boolean Algebra, Boole is considered by many to be the father of information theory.
